In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League Summer League, champions Market Inn won 6-0 away to the Plough & Harrow A in Tilmanstone. Gareth Butcher (3,390), Derek Latham (3,400) and Craig Carlson (5,570) swept the singles, with doubles successes for Dave Carliell & Butcher (2,630), Butcher & Carlson (2,950) and Latham & Carliell (5,290).
Magnet A defeated the Magnet B 6-0 to open a 3 point gap in the race for runners-up, with one round of fixtures remaining. Lin Callanan (1,890) put the A in front, Mike Callanan edged Val Judd 1,860-1510 and John Higgens (3,550) completed the singles victories. Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan (4,080), Higgens & Lin Callanan (3,830) and Mike Callanan & Higgens (4,510) took the doubles.
Betteshanger Club still retain a hope of second-place after winning 5-1 at home to Plough & Harrow B. Ward Griffiths (3,900) and Ricky Cowdrey (3,850) put Betteshanger ahead, before a Plough victory for Ron Beer (2,960). Betteshanger swept the doubles via Dave Howarth & Ricky Cowdrey (5,080), Griffiths & Howarth (2,330) and Warren Cowdrey & Howarth (3,380).
