In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, Summer League leaders Market Inn won 4-2 at home to the Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone. Gerald Gilbert (2,140) put the Plough in front, before Market Inn successes for Dave Carliell (2,120) and Gareth Butcher (3,170). Craig Carlson & Carliell (4,660) and Butcher & Carlson (3,100) took the first two doubles and the match, with Phil Court & Gilbert (2,960) gaining the last leg for the visitors.
Betteshanger Club moved second after a 4-2 win away to the Magnet A in Deal. Dave Howarth (3,280), Warren Cowdrey (2,700) and Ricky Cowdrey (3,720) swept the singles for Betteshanger, before Magnet doubles victories for Mike Callanan & John Higgens (7,890) and Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan (3,840). Warren Cowdrey & Ward Griffiths (4,010) took the last leg and the match.
The Plough & Harrow A won 4-2 at home to the Magnet B in Tilmanstone. Dawn Williams (1,970) put the Magnet ahead, before Plough victories for Brian Carpenter (1,650) and Karen Keen (2,960). Karen Keen & Carpenter (3,580) and Carpenter & Ann Keen (2,150) secured the match, with Shirley Cowdrey & Williams (2,120) taking the last game for the Magnet B.
