In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, the Plough & Harrow from Bridge moved back to the top with a 5-1 win at home to the Market Inn A. Stan Brocklebank (6,080) put Plough ahead, and John Fullager beat Derek Latham 7,690-6,270, both scores from single breaks. Craig Carlson (6,510) pulled a point back for the Market, but all the doubles went to the Plough, via Fullager & Brocklebank (6,860), Brocklebank & Kevin Kay (4,710) and Kay & Fullager (5,740).
The Market Inn B drew 3-3 at home to Two Sawyers A and are now second. Alan Farra (3,660) put the home side ahead, before Sawyers wins for Alan Smith (3,670) and Gary Clarke (5,140). Doubles wins for Gareth Butcher & Dave Carliell (5,270) and Farra & Butcher (4,980) gave the Market the advantage, before Smith & Richard Cousens (3,200) forced the draw.
The Chequer Inn defeated the Magnet A 6-0 in Ash. Tim Bourner edged John Higgens 1,630-1,560, and John Addley (4,930) made it 2-0. Chris Saville beat Mike Callanan 7,930-7,350, Saville’s score from one break replying to Callanan’s 6,200. The doubles went to Saville & Bourner (6,060), Bourner & Wack Sampson (5,110) and Addley & Sampson (5,320).
 
In Division Two, champions-elect Royal Oak won 6-0 away to the Magnet B. Steve Lake (4,330), Mark Graves (5,720) and Roger Oldfield (3,290) swept the singles, with further Oak victories for Graves & Lake (4,060), Lake & Oldfield (4,320) and Oldfield & Graves (4,550).
Betteshanger Bowling Club won 4-2 away to the Plough & Harrow in Tilmanstone. Warren Cowdrey (2,420) and Dave Howarth (2,840) put Betteshanger ahead, before a Plough success for Ann Keen (1,960). Cowdrey & Howarth (2,930) and Ward Griffiths & Cowdrey (3,780) ensured the match victory, and Brian Carpenter & Ron Beer (3,610) gained the Plough’s second point.
