In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards Summer League, champions Market Inn maintained their 100% record with a 5-1 win away to the Plough & Harrow A in Tilmanstone. Karen Keen (2,020) put the Plough ahead, before Market Inn wins for Derek Latham (5,650) and Gareth Butcher (3,840). All the doubles went to the Market, via Craig Carlson & Butcher (3,390), Latham & Carlson (7,020) and Dave Carliell & Carlson (2,440).
The Magnet A defeated the Magnet B 6-0, and are close to securing the runners-up spot. Mike Callanan (8,060), John Higgens (3,690) and Lin Callanan (2,590) swept the singles, with the doubles going to Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan (3,950), Mike Callanan & Higgens (4,570) and Higgens & Lin Callanan (2,430).
Third-placed Betteshanger Bricks slipped-up as they drew 3-3 at home to the Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone. Ricky Cowdrey (1,580) put Betteshanger ahead, before Plough victories for Gerald Gilbert (3,670) and Harry Pearson (2,030). Ricky Cowdrey & Warren Cowdrey (2,230) levelled the match in the first doubles, before Gilbert & Phil Court (3,910) regained the Plough lead. Warren Cowdrey & Ward Griffiths (2,860) took the last leg to force the draw.
