Plate Final: Plough & Harrow B, Tilmanstone 2 P&H A Tilmanstone 4.
In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League Spring Cup, the Plate competition, contested between the bottom four sides, saw the Plough & Harrow A from Tilmanstone defeat the Plough & Harrow B 4-2 in the final. Karen Keen (2,640), Ann Keen (4,220) and Brian Carpenter (1,920) swept the singles for the A, before the B hit back in the doubles via Gerald Gilbert & Harry Pearson (1,790) and Ron Beer & Gilbert (1,990). The A went into the final leg leading 3-2 and 1,300 points ahead, so could afford a fairly narrow defeat. In the event, Ann Keen & Karen Keen edged Pearson & Beer 1,090-1,020 to complete the Plate victory.
