In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, Group A saw leaders Betteshanger succumb to a home 4-2 defeat against the Royal Oak. Neville Potts (7,500) and Chris Saville (7,470) won either side of an Oak success for Roger Oldfield (4,770) to put Betteshanger ahead, but the visitors controlled the doubles with wins for Mark Graves & Steve Lake (2,090), Lake & Oldfield (2,210) and Oldfield & Graves (1,640) for the match.
The Plough & Harrow A from bridge enjoyed a 6-0 win away to the Magnet B. Singles successes for Baz Symes (5,020), Keith Symes (5,210) and Ian Dennett (5,470) were followed by further Plough victories in the doubles via Baz Symes & Keith Symes (2,530), Dennett & Baz Symes (1,850) and Keith Symes & Dennett (1,600).
An all-Deal match saw the Brickmakers B win 4-2 away to the Magnet A. Ward Griffiths edged Lin Callanan 2,200-2,180 for the Brickies, Mike Callanan defeated Dave Howarth 6,190-5,840 for the Magnet, before Ricky Cowdrey (3,940) restored the Brickies’ lead. Cowdrey & Griffiths (2,000) and Howarth & Cowdrey (2,250) ensured the match victory, with Mike Callanan & John Higgens (3,090) collecting the Magnet’s second point.
 
In Group B, the Plough & Harrow B from Bridge moved top with a 4-2 victory away to the Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone. Harry Pearson (3,700) put Tilmanstone ahead, before Bridge wins for Kevin Kay (2,990) and Stan Brocklebank (2,860). John Fullager & Brocklebank (1,800) took the first doubles, Pearson & Gerald Gilbert won for the home side, and finally Brocklebank & Kay (2,680) gained the match victory.
The Market Inn A enjoyed a 4-2 away win at the Two Sawyers. Derek Latham (5,730), Ted Hogben (5,170) and Craig Carlson (5,130) swept the singles for the visitors, but Stuart Richardson & Richard Cousens (1,610) took the first doubles for Sawyers. Latham & Carlson (2,450) ensured the match-victory for the Sandwich team, and Alan Smith & Richardson (2,160) gained the last leg.
The Market Inn B and the Plough & Harrow A from Tilmanstone drew 3-3 in Sandwich. Gareth Butcher (4,600) and Alan Farra (3,720) won either side of a Plough victory for Ann Keen (1,620). Keen & Brian Carpenter (2,840) and Ron Beer & Keen (2,310) put the Plough ahead, but Farra & Dave Carliell (1,540) forced the draw.
