In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, Group A saw the Plough & Harrow A from Bridge move second with a 4-2 home win against the Royal Oak. Baz Symes (3,620) and Brian Underwood (5,190) won either side of a Royal Oak success for Roger Oldfield (3,800). Underwood & Baz Symes scored an impressive triangles-rules 3,850 in the first doubles, and Keith Symes & Underwood (2,020) ensured the Plough victory. Mark Graves & Nigel Scott (2,700) gained the last leg for the visitors.
 
In Group B, the Plough & Harrow B from Bridge won 4-2 away to the Two Sawyers to move top. John Fullager (2,740) gave the Plough the lead, Gary Clarke (4,470) levelled and Kevin Kay (6,970) restored the Plough lead. Alan Smith & Richard Cousens (1,860) took the first doubles, but the last two legs and the match went to the Plough via Stan Brocklebank & Kay (1,600) and Kay & Brocklebank (2,240).
The Market Inn B won 4-2 at home to the Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone. Gareth Butcher (3,300) and Alan Farra (2,100) won either side of a Plough victory for Phil Court (1,580). Farra & Dave Carliell (1,590) and Butcher & Farra (1,660) took the first two doubles and the match, while Gerald Gilbert & Court (1,640) gained the last leg for the Plough.
The Market Inn A mirrored their B team’s result with a 4-2 victory away to the Plough & Harrow A from Tilmanstone. Ted Hogben beat Karen Keen 4,330-3,540 with a late maximum 3,000 break, and Derek Latham (4,490) made it 2-0, before an impressive Plough success for Ann Keen (6,220). The first two doubles and the match went to the Sandwich side via Hogben & Latham (2,340) and Latham & Craig Carlson (1,880), before Brian Carpenter & Ann Keen (2,210) won the final leg.
