In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards Winter League, champions Betteshanger Club finished their season with an impressive 4-2 home win against the Plough & Harrow, Bridge B, demonstrating they are worthy champions this season. All three singles were won by the Deal side, John Addley (9,100) led the way with an opening break of 8,400, followed by wins for Chris Saville (6,890) and Neville Potts (9,900), with Potts recording a decisive 6,850 break against John Fullager. The first doubles was also won by the Betteshanger side as Saville & Wack Sampson (5,210) secured the win, before the visitors hit back in the last two games through Kevin Kay & Kevin Brocklebank (6,080) and then Brocklebank & Fullager (4,750).
The Market Inn A drew 3-3 at home to the Royal Oak from Nonington to remain third. Ted Hogben (2,970) put the Sandwich-side ahead, before Oak successes for Mark Graves (3,960) and Steve Lake (3,780). Doubles victories from Craig Carlson & Derek Latham (5,000) and Latham & Hogben (5,700) put the Market back in front, but Lake & Roger Oldfield (4,630) took the last leg for the draw. The Royal Oak now finish bottom and face the drop.
The Magnet A drew 3-3 at home to the Two Sawyers A. Gary Clarke (2,280) put the visitors ahead, before John Higgens (4,640) and Mike Callanan (4,080) won for the Magnet. Alan Smith & Richard Cousens edged Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan 3,380-3,280 in the first doubles, Mike Callanan & Higgens (2,950) regained the Deal side’s lead, but Clarke & Smith (3,550) took the last game to force the draw.
 
The only fixture played in Division Two saw the Plough & Harrow A from Tilmanstone win 6-0 at home to the Brickmakers Arms A. Brian Carpenter (2,110), Ann Keen (2,280) and Karen Keen (4,380) swept the singles, before further decisive doubles victories for Carpenter & Karen Keen (3,030), Ann Keen & Carpenter (5,070) and Karen Keen & Ann Keen (5,530).
