In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards Winter League, champions Betteshanger had a bye, but in their absence Plough & Harrow B from Bridge edged closer to the runners-up spot with a 4-2 victor at home third-placed Market Inn A. John Fullager needed the last ball to beat Craig Carlson 5,320-5,220, before Derek Latham (4,630) levelled for the visitors. Kevin Kay (5,860) restored the Plough lead, before Fullager again sank the last ball as he and Kay edged Latham & Carlson 4,920-4,620. Fullager & Kevin Brocklebank defeated Carlson & Ted Hogben 5,700-5,070 to secure the match, and Hogben & Latham won the last leg 4,130-4,050.
The Magnet A won 4-2 away to the Royal Oak, leaving the Oak favourites for relegation. Mike Callanan (4,880) and John Higgens (1,600) put the visitors ahead, before Steve Lake (3,350) won for the Nonington side. Mark Graves & Lake (4,590) took the first doubles to level, but successes for Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan (2,350) and Mike Callanan & Higgens (3,780) gave the Magnet the victory.
The Two Sawyers A beat the Plough & Harrow A from Bridge 4-2 in Woolage Green, to ease their relegation worries. Alan Smith (4,570) and Gary Clarke (5,460) won either side of a Plough victory for Baz Symes (6,400). Clarke & Smith (5,540) and Smith & Richard Cousens (4,580) ensured the match, before Baz Symes & Keith Symes (7,820) took the last game.
 
In Division Two, little changed as the top two sides both drew. Leaders Market Inn B drew 3-3 at home to the Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone. Gerald Gilbert (3,630) put the Plough ahead, before Market wins for Alan Farra (3,620) and Christine Farra (1,820). Alan Farra & Christine Farra (3,790) took the first doubles, but the Plough fought back via Gilbert & Ron Beer (1,440) and Harry Pearson & Gilbert (3,550) for the draw.
An all-Deal match saw the Magnet B draw 3-3 with second-placed Brickmakers B. Shirley Cowdrey (1,930), Dawn Williams (1,810) and Val Judd (1,420) swept the singles for the Magnet, but the Brickies hit back in the doubles with successes for Dave Howarth & Ricky Cowdrey (2,770), Ricky Cowdrey & Warren Cowdrey (3,540) and Warren Cowdrey & Howarth (5,880).
