Herewith the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League report for this week.  The next fixtures will in the first week of January, have a great Christmas and New Year.

In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards Winter League, Betteshanger Club are the new champions, with two fixtures to spare, after a 3-3 draw away to the Market Inn A. Neville Potts (2,750) and Chris Saville (5,280) put the visitors ahead, before Derek Latham (4,250) gained a point for the Sandwich side. John Addley & Wack Sampson (4,150) took the first doubles, but Market victories for Ted Hogben & Craig Carlson (4,340) and Latham & Hogben (4,650) forced the draw.
The deposed champions, the Plough & Harrow B from Bridge, drew 3-3 at the Magnet A to remain second. John Fullager (5,190) and Stan Brocklebank (5,790) won either side of a Magnet success for Mike Callanan (9,490), Callanan maintaining a 100% singles record into the New Year. Kevin Kay & Fullager (4,140) took the first doubles, but the Magnet fought-back via Mike Callanan & John Higgens (4,750) and Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan (4,220) for the draw.
The Plough & Harrow A from Bridge drew 3-3 at home to the Royal Oak. Ian Dennett (9,770) and Keith Symes (4,940) won either side of an Oak victory for Mark Graves (2,870). Graves & Steve Lake (3,740) levelled, Dennett & Baz Symes (4,050) regained the Plough lead, and finally Lake & Roger Oldfield (4,230) earned the Oak a draw.
 
In Division Two, in the absence of the leaders Market Inn B, second-placed Brickmakers B took full advantage with a 6-0 demolition of the Brickmakers A. Wins for Ricky Cowdrey (5,450) Warren Cowdrey 2,750-2,600 against Paul Garlinge, and Dave Howarth (2,850) gave the B all the singles, and the doubles followed via Ricky Cowdrey & Warren Cowdrey (3,260), Warren Cowdrey & Howarth (4,510) and Howarth & Ricky Cowdrey (3,020).
The Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone won 4-2 at home to the Magnet B. Gerald Gilbert (1,930) and Harry Pearson (1,690) put the Plough ahead, before Shirley Cowdrey (2,240) won for the Magnet, courtesy of a 1,530 break. Dawn William & Tanya Philpott (1,320) took the first doubles to level matters, but Pearson & Gilbert (3,420) and Gilbert & Phil Court (1,950) gained the last two legs and the match.
