In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards Winter League, The Magnet A from Deal lost 5-1 at home to leaders Betteshanger Lions. Mike Callanan (8,200) put the Magnet ahead, but John Addley (5,270) and Neville Potts (5,180) both won for the visitors. Potts & Wack Sampson (3,850) gained the first doubles, followed by further Betteshanger successes for Addley & Saville (6,450) and Saville & Sampson (5,150).
The Two Sawyers A have moved second after beating the Royal Oak 5-1. Stuart Richardson (3,680) and Alan Smith (3,160) put Sawyers ahead, before an Oak victory for Mark Graves (4,510). All the doubles, and with them the match, went to the Two Sawyers via Richardson & Gary Clarke (3,940), Smith & Richardson (3,140) and Clarke & Smith (4,270).
The Plough & Harrow B from Bridge beat the Plough & Harrow A 6-0. John Fullager (7,730), Stan Brocklebank (6,130) and Kevin Kay (3,800) swept the singles, with Brocklebank & Kay (4,940) taking the first doubles and the match.
 
The Market Inn B extended their lead in Division Two with a 6-0 home win against the Magnet B. Alan Farra (3,800) and Dave Carliell (2,430) took the first two singles, before Gareth Butcher edged Tanya Philpott 1,930-1,840, potting the last ball down the 100 hole for victory. The doubles followed for the Sandwich side via Farra & Carliell (3,620), Butcher & Farra (4,100) and Carliell & Butcher (4,140).
The Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone won 5-1 at home to the Brickmakers Arms A. Harry Pearson (2,410), Gerald Gilbert (3,280) and Ron Beer (2,720) gained all the singles, with Pearson & Gilbert (3,490) taking the first doubles and the match. Beer & Pearson (3,040) won the next game, before Ann Garlinge & Chris Gent (3,960) managed a consolation point in the last leg for the Brickies.

 

P.S. Sav got 34 consecutive white ball pots on the left hand fifty in the 2k pairs.
