In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, Champions Plough & Harrow from Bridge won 4-2 away to the Market Inn from Sandwich - a result which leaves the Market Inn as runners-up. Ian Dennett (3,230) and Keith Symes (4,380) both won for the visitors, either side of a Market success for Derek Latham (4,970). Keith Symes & Dennett (3,040) took the first doubles, before Craig Carlson & Dave Carliell (3,920) gained a leg back. Baz Symes & Keith Symes (6,870) won the last game and the match.

The Brickmakers Arms B beat the Magnet A 5-1 in an all-Deal match, but it was not enough to lift the Brickies off bottom place. Rick Cowdrey edged Lin Callanan 1,880-1,680, Mike Callanan (4,450) levelled for the Magnet, before Warren Cowdrey narrowly defeated John Higgens 2,070-1,860. The Brickies swept the doubles for the match, via Warren Cowdrey & Rick Cowdrey (4,050), Rick Cowdrey & Dave Howarth (3,050) and Howarth & Warren Cowdrey (4,270).

 

In the Plate competition, the Plough & Harrow A from Tilmanstone are confirmed champions, after they drew with the Plough & Harrow B 3-3. Ann Keen (1,360) and Karen Keen (3,420) put the A 2-0 up, before Phil Court edged Brian Carpenter 1,540-1,440. Harry Pearson & Court (3,850) levelled, and Gerald Gilbert & Pearson (2,520) put the B ahead. Carpenter & Karen Keen just beat Court & Gilbert 2,750-2,670 in the last leg for the draw.

The Brickmakers A finished the season with a 4-2 victory at the Magnet B. Shirley Cowdrey (2,550) put the Magnet ahead, before Brickies successes for Paul Garlinge (2,820) and Ann Garlinge (1,720). Cowdrey & Dawn Williams (2,080) took the first doubles, but the Brickies gained the last two legs for the match, via Ann Garlinge & Paul Garlinge (2,920) and Paul Garlinge & Alan Holmwood (2,090).
