In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, the Plough & Harrow from Bridge are Champions with a week of fixtures still to play, after they defeated the Brickmakers Arms B 4-2. Baz Symes (6,780), Ian Dennett (3,920) and Keith Symes (4,970) swept the singles for the home side, before Dave Howarth & Rick Cowdrey (3,530) took the first doubles for the Brickies. Keith Symes & Dennett (6,880) ensured the match victory, but Rick Cowdrey & Warren Cowdrey (4,370) won the last leg, courtesy of a late break from Warren Cowdrey
The Magnet A drew 3-3 with deposed champions Market Inn in Deal. John Higgens (3,440) put the Deal side ahead, before Market Inn victories for Derek Latham (3,960) and Craig Carlson (3,220). Higgens & Lin Callanan (2,160) levelled matters in the first doubles, Latham & Dave Carliell won 2,750-2,500 to regain the lead for the Sandwich team, and Mike Callanan & Higgens (5,370) took the last leg to force the draw.
 
In the Plate competition, the Plough & Harrow A from Tilmanstone are closing in n the title after a 6-0 home victory against the Magnet B. Brian Carpenter (2,930), Karen Keen (3,240) and Ann Keen (2,400) swept the singles, and the successes continued in the doubles via Karen Keen & Carpenter (4,160), Carpenter & Ann Keen (3,420) and Ann Keen & Karen Keen (3,080).
The Brickmakers A won 4-2 at home to the Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone. Ann Garlinge (3,500) won courtesy of two 1,000+ breaks, followed by further Brickies victories for Paul Garlinge (2,490) and Chris Gent (3,360). Ann Garlinge & Paul Garlinge (2,420) took the first doubles and the match, before a mini-revival from the Plough with wins for Gerald Gilbert & Ron Beer (3,600) and Ken Keen & Gilbert (2,340).
