In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, the Market Inn have moved top after a 6-0 win at home to the Brickmakers B. Derek Latham (2,780), Gareth Butcher (3,050) and Craig Carlson (4,190) swept the singles, and Carlson & Dave Carliell (3,340) took the first doubles to ensure the match victory. Further Market Inn success followed for Butcher & Latham (4,140), before Latham & Carliell edged Warren Cowdrey & Rick Cowdrey 2.800-2,740.
The Plough & Harrow from Bridge won 4-2 away to the Magnet A to maintain their challenge. John Higgens (3,150) put the Magnet ahead, before Plough wins for Keith Symes (2,610) and Ian Dennett (1.950). Keith Symes & Dennett edged Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan 2,650-2,520 in the first doubles, and Dennett & Baz Symes (4,180) tied-up the match. Higgens & Lin Callanan (1.840) took the last leg for the Deal side.
 
In the Plate competition, the Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone have moved top after defeating the Magnet B 5-1. Harry Pearson (1,780) and Ron Beer (2,300) won either side of a Magnet B success for Tanya Philpott (1,980). The Plough swept the doubles via Phil Court & Pearson (1,890), Beer & Court (2,790) and Pearson & Beer (3,850).
The Brickmakers Arms A from Deal drew 3-3 at home to the Plough & Harrow A, Tilmanstone. Craig Lancaster narrowly defeated Karen Keen 1,880-1,710, before Paul Garlinge (3,510) put the Brickies 2-0 up. Ann Keen (4,840) responded well in the final singles for the Plough. Chris Gent & Paul Garlinge 3,570) took the first doubles, before Ann Keen & Brian Carpenter (2,930) hit back for the visitors. Karen Keen & Ann Keen just beat Ann Garlinge & Gent 1,390-1,380 to force the draw.
