Summer league Results:
Group One: Plough & Harrow, Bridge 6 P&H Tilmanstone A 0. Brickmakers Arms A 2 Brickmakers Arms B 4.
Group Two: P&H Tilmanstone 1.5 Market Inn 4.5. Magnet B 0 Magnet A 6.

In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, Group One winners the Plough & Harrow, Bridge won at home to the Plough & Harrow A from Tilmanstone 6-0. Baz Symes (5,130), Keith Symes (3,290) and Ian Dennett (6,550) swept the singles for the Bridge team, and Baz Symes & Keith Symes defeated Karen Keen & Ann Keen 5,540-3,030 in the first doubles to claim the match victory. Keith Symes & Dennett (4,340) and Dennett & Baz Symes (3,650) took the remaining legs.

In Group Two, table winners Market Inn won 4.5-1.5 away to the Plough & Harrow B, Tilmanstone. Derek Latham beat Ron Beer 3,650-3,420 in a close game, followed by further Market Inn successes for Craig Carlson (4,330) and Gareth Butcher (2,650). Butcher & Carlson (4,170) took the first doubles to ensure the match victory, but Beer & Gerald Gilbert (1,640) gained a point for the Plough. The last leg was drawn 3080-3080 between Gilbert & Harry Pearson and Latham & Dave Carliell, as Gilbert sank the last ball down the 200 hole.
The Magnet A claimed second place with a 6-0 against the Magnet B, and so qualify for the main competition league. Mike Callanan (3,300) took the first leg, Lin Callanan edged Shirley Cowdrey 2,370-2,000, and John Higgens (2,570) completed the sweep of the singles. Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan edged Tanya Philpott & Dawn Williams 2,810-2,750 in the first doubles, before Mike Callanan & Higgens (4,770) took the penultimate leg for the A. Higgens & Lin Callanan took another close game 2,660-2,270, leaving the Magnet B unfortunate to finish the evening without a point.
