Chris Saville opened the night by playing the table out with a break of 16,950, eclipsing Mike Callanan’s 14,090 break in the same competition last year, and this seasons highest break by some margin. The next game was won against the break by Neville Potts (4,310) before Alan Farra (4,850) pulled a leg back for the visitors, giving the home side a 2-1 advantage.  The home team then won all three doubles matches with some excellent scoring in the triangles rules' games, in particular from Wack Sampson during his games, and the last game was only won when Saville potted the last ball in the 200 to snatch victory and secure a 5-1 win.

The Brickmakers B beat the Brickmakers A 5-1.  Warren Cowdrey (1,850), Ricky Cowdrey (1,940) and Dave Howarth (3,080) swept the singles for the A, but Craig Lancaster & Paul Garlinge (1,950) took the first doubles for the B.  Howarth & Ricky Cowdrey won 1,750-1,680 to secure the victory, and the A also took the final doubles.

The Plough & Harrow B, Tilmanstone enjoyed a 5-1 win at home to the Royal Oak.  Plough successes in the singles went to Gerald Gilbert (2,330), Harry Pearson (2,290) and Phil Court (2,360), and Gilbert & Pearson (2,240) secured the match.  Roger Oldfield & Mark Graves (1,720) gained the Royal Oak’s point.

Betteshanger B lead Group B after a 6-0 win away to the Magnet B.  Dave Mackay (1,140), Luke Smith (4,640) and Billy Edwards (3,770) took the singles, and Smith & Edwards (1,440) secured the match victory, followed by further doubles successes for Betteshanger.

The Market Inn A won 5-1 at home to Plough & Harrow A, Bridge.  Ted Hogben (3,230) and Derek Latham (8,650) put the Sandwich side ahead, before a Plough win for Baz Symes (3,490).  Doubles victories for John Skinner & Hogben (2,980) and Craig Carlson & Skinner (2,300) secured the match, Latham & Skinner (1,940) took the last leg.

The Plough & Harrow B, Bridge defeated the Plough & Harrow A, Tilmanstone 5-1.  Brian Carpenter (2,790) won for the Tilmanstone side, but victories for Stan Brocklebank (2,680) and John Fullager (6,340) reversed the advantage, and doubles wins for Fullager & Brocklebank (3,620) and Brocklebank & Kevin Kay (3,140) secured the match.
