In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, the Plough & Harrow from Bridge finally started their campaign with a superb 5-1 win away to the Market Inn, Sandwich. Keith Symes (2,870), Ian Dennett (5,850) and Baz Symes (5,710) took the singles, and Baz Symes & Keith Symes (3,770) clinched the match in the first doubles. Craig Carlson & Derek Latham won 5,440-4,680 for the Market's point.

In Division Two, the Market Inn B from Sandwich won 5-1 away to the Brickmakers Arms A in Deal, to continue their good early season form. Alan Farra edged Paul Garlinge 2,700-2,470, followed by further Market Inn victories for Gareth Butcher (1,960) and Dave Carliell (1,600). Paul Garlinge & Ann Garlinge just beat Farra & Butcher 1,430-1,360, but Butcher & Carliell (2,770) took the next doubles to clinch the match. Chris Gent & Paul Garlinge (2,540) took the final leg for the Brickies. On a tricky table, Butcher's break of 1,250 in the second doubles was the highest of the night.
The Betteshanger B won an all-Deal match 5-1 against the Brickmakers Arms B. Luke Smith (2,720) and Bill Edwards (3,850) put the Betteshanger side 2-0 ahead, before Warren Cowdrey (5,210) gained a point for the Brickies B. A depleted Brickies team conceded the first two doubles, and Ed Edwards & Dave Mackay (1,670) took the final leg to complete the victory.
