In the bar billiards Summer League, the Magnet A from Deal trounced rivals Plough & Harrow B 6-0 at home.  John Higgens (2,570), Mike Callanan (2,800) and Lin Callanan (1,630) swept the singles, and Lin & Mike Callanan (3,250) secured the match in the first doubles.  Further successes for Mike Callanan & Higgens (3,060) and Higgens & Lin Callanan (2,930) mean the leaders the Market Inn still need a couple of points to win the Summer League going into the final round of matches.

In Deal, the Brickmakers Arms B won 5-1 at home to the Brickmakers Arms A.  Ricky Cowdrey (2,470), Steve Philpott (2,110) and Dave Howarth (1,120) took the singles for the Brickies B, and Cowdrey & Howarth (2,830) ensured the match victory in the first doubles.  Philpott & Cowdrey (2,660) took the penultimate leg, but Paul Garlinge & Craig Lancaster (3,090) gained a little pride for the Brickies A in the last game.

The Plough & Harrow A beat the Magnet B 5-1 in Tilmanstone.  Carl Williams (2,010) gave the Deal side the lead, but victories for Brian Carpenter (2,000) and Ann Keen (2,600) put the Plough ahead after the singles.  Karen Keen & Carpenter (3,030), Carpenter & Ann Keen (3,290) and Ann Keen & Karen Keen (4,070) completed a clean sweep of the doubles for the home side.
