At the halfway stage of the Summer League, the Market Inn from Sandwich hold an 8 point lead after defeating the Plough & Harrow A, Tilmanstone 4-2 away.  Craig Carlson (3,480) and Gareth Butcher (3,370) put the Market Inn ahead, before a Plough victory for Ann Keen (5,190).  Brian Carpenter & Ron Beer (3,220) levelled the match in the first doubles, but Dave Carliell & Carlson (3,870) and Derek Latham & Butcher (5,020) took the last two legs to secure the match.

The Magnet A moved smoothly in second place after a 6-0 home win against the Brickmakers Arms A.  Lin Callanan (1,730) and John Higgens (2,320) put the Magnet A in front, followed by a narrow 3,550-3,160 win for Mike Callanan against Paul Garlinge.  The doubles Magnet victories came via Lin Callanan & Mike Callanan (4,740), Mike Callanan & Higgens (2,810) and Higgens & Lin Callanan (3,260).

The Brickmakers Arms B moved third after winning 4-2 at home to the Magnet B.  Dawn Williams edged Warren Cowdrey 1,630-1,560, followed by a narrow 910-860 win for Donna Prior against Ricky Cowdrey, to put the Magnet B 2-0 up.  Dave Howarth (3,150) took the last singles, and Warren Cowdrey & Ricky Cowdrey (2,620) also won the first doubles to level.  Further doubles successes for Howarth & Warren Cowdrey (3,530) and Ricky Cowdrey & Howarth (2,960) gained the match victory.
