In Group A, The Betteshanger Alma Lions remain top after a 5-1 victory away to the Plough & Harrow A.  Neville Potts (6,000), Chris Saville (7,660) and Wack Sampson (4,490) took the singles, before Karen Keen & Ann Keen won the first doubles 1,940-1,910 against Sampson & Potts, Karen Keen potting the last ball down the 200 for the Tilmanstone side’s point.  Potts & Saville (2,130) took the next doubles for the match victory.

The Market Inn won 4-2 away to the Brickmakers B to stay second.  Craig Carlson (2,230) and Derek Latham (5,080) both won, either side of a Brickies success for Dave Howarth (2,220).  Howarth & Warren Cowdrey (2,360) levelled the match, but Market victories for Ted Hogben & Latham (1,740) and Latham & Carlson (1,650) gained the match.

The Greyhound defeated the Royal Oak 4-2 at home.  Alan Farra (4,010) and Gareth Butcher (1,980) put the Sandwich side ahead, before Gary Clarke (1,790) won for the Oak.  Richard Cousens & Stuart Richardson won 1,200-1,100 to level the match, before wins for Alan Farra & Dave Carliell (2,280) and Butcher & Christine Farra (1,870) secured the overall victory.

 

In Group B, the Plough & Harrow, Bridge, eased to a 6-0 home win against the Plough & Harrow B, Tilmanstone.  Keith Symes (5,840), Ian Dennett (5,660) and Baz Symes (3,530) took the singles, followed by Keith Symes & Dennett (1,920).  Keith Symes hit a triangles 1,730 break in the next as he & Baz Symes won 2550-760.
