In Division One, third-placed Plough & Harrow, Bridge won 4-2 away to the Royal Oak in Nonington.  Gary Clarke (5,370) and Alan Smith (4,810) both won for the Oak, but the Plough fought back well, starting with Baz Symes (3,600).  All three doubles went to the Bridge side with wins for Baz Symes & Keith Symes (3,650), Ian Dennett & Baz Symes (3,930) and Keith Symes & Dennett (4,320) to complete the victory.

The Market Inn, Sandwich drew at home to the Fitzwalter Arms, Goodnestone, keeping the Fitz bottom.  Roger Oldfield (2,960) and Nigel Scott (2,610) both won for the Fitz, either side of a Market win, as John Laundrie defeated Steve Lake 1,310-1,230.  Craig Carlson & Derek Latham (5,040) levelled the match, Mark Graves & Oldfield (3,320) won for the Fitz, and finally Latham & Laundrie won 2,400-2,190 to force the draw.

 

In Division Two, an excellent result for the Brickmakers Arms A as they held leaders Magnet A to a 3-3 draw.  Ann Garlinge (2,030) and Alan Holmwood (2,740) both won for the Brickies, before John Higgens (4,630) won for the Magnet.  Paul Garlinge & Ann Garlinge beat Lin Callanan & Ward Griffiths 2,150-1,910 in the first doubles, before the Magnet rallied with victories for Griffiths & Higgens (3,700) and Mike Callanan & Griffiths (3,240) to gain the draw.

The Plough & Harrow A, Tilmanstone won 4-2 away to the Magnet B.  Ann Keen (1,910) took the first leg, but Chris Gent edged Karen Keen 1,760-1,660 and Steve Philpott (3,150) also won to give the Magnet B the lead.  Karen Keen & Ann Keen just beat Steve Philpott & Tanya Philpott 2,170-2,090 in the first doubles, followed by successes for Brian Carpenter & Karen Keen (2,660) and Ann Keen & Carpenter (4,060) for the match victory.
