In Group A, an all-Deal match saw the Alma Lions win 6-0 away to the Magnet B.  The singles games were swept by Kevin Pringle (3,590), Tim Hayes (5,640) and Chris Saville (4,000).  Wack Sampson & Chris Saville (2,390) secured the match victory in the first doubles for the Alma Lions, followed by wins for Hayes & Sampson (2,290) and Saville & Pringle (1,990).

The Fitzwalter Arms from Goodnestone boosted their hopes of a top-four qualifying position with a 6-0 home win against the Brickmakers Arms B from Deal.  Despite the result, the Brickies will finish in the top four.  Nigel Scott (2,350) opened the singles, Steve Lake narrowly defeated Bill Edwards 2,550-2,310, and Mark Graves (3,950) completed the clean sweep of the singles for the Fitz.  The first triangles-fettered doubles saw Graves & Roger Oldfield just edge Edwards & Shirley Cowdrey 920-840 to secure the match victory, followed by further successes for Oldfield & Scott (1,990) and Lake & Oldfield (2,000).

In Group B, the Chantry Club from Canterbury won 4-2 away to the Market Inn, Sandwich.  Craig Carlson (3,840) and Derek Latham (5,380) both won for the home side, either side of a Chantry success for Kevin Kay (2,590).  Stan Brocklebank & John Fullager (2,530) took the first triangles-rules doubles, followed by a narrow 1,580-1,300 victory for Kay & Fullager against Latham & Matt Brown.  Kay & Brocklebank beat Brown & Carlson 1,680-1,600 in the final frame to secure the bonus points, as Kay cleared the table after the bar had dropped and when trailing by 200 points.
The Plough & Harrow A, Tilmanstone beat the Plough & Harrow B, Tilmanstone 4-2.  Ann Keen (2,440) put the A ahead, but Harry Pearson (3,980) levelled, and
Phil Court edged Karen Keen 2,590-2,350 to reverse the score line.  Ann Keen & Brian Carpenter defeated Court & Anthony Burns 1,590-1,370, followed by a win for Karen Keen & Ann Keen (2,210) to regain the lead for the A.  Carpenter & Karen Keen took the final frame 1,540-1,160 to secure the match victory.
