In Group A, the Magnet A came away 4-2 winners at the Alma , and so finish top with the Alma stuck in third place.  Mike Callanan (5050), John Higgens (4000) and Lin Callanan (1820) gave the magnet the perfect start in the singles, but an Alma revival began in the doubles.  First Dave Howarth & Rick Cowdrey scored 3170 to win, followed by Cowdrey & John Mitchell, by 3190-2530, and after Cowdrey had played a hard break with the bar dropped, to see the white ball sink down the 200 hole.  Mike & Lin Callanan (4230) won the final frame for the Magnet A, to book a semi-final place against the Market Inn.

The Brickmakers A drew 3-3 at home to the Butchers Arms.  Craig Lancaster (2130) put the Brickies ahead, Harry Pearson (2610) levelled matters, and Paul Garlinge (3590) re-established the lead for the home side.  Lancaster & Garlinge then won the first doubles, but the visitors fought back to force the draw with victories for Pearson & Doug Vickers, then Ruth Collins & Vickers.

Group B saw the Plough & Harrow from Bridge draw 3-3 at home to the Market Inn, and the Plough will now face the Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone in the semis.  Keith Symes (3290) took the first leg for the Plough, and Ian Dennett increased their lead, his 7270 including three maximum 2000 breaks.  The Market Inn enjoyed a good run from there, Alan Farra (4760) winning the final singles, and then Farra & Gareth Butcher beat Paddy Maher & Baz Symes 4580-4390, Maher having opened with 2000, but the Sandwich pair both playing well enough for Farra to sink the red ball down the 200 hole at the end to win.  Christine Farra & Alan Farra (5160) won the next doubles, but Mark Maher & Keith Symes scored 5870 in the final frame for the draw.

The Greyhound won away to the Magnet B to finish third in the group.  Steve Philpott (2780) put the Magnet ahead, before Daniel Jackson (2070) and Dave McNeily (1880) put the Greyhound in front.  Tanya & Steve Philpott won the first doubles to draw the match level, before Jackson & Craig Carlson just beat Steve Philpott & Chris Gent 2370-2200, and then McNeily & Carlson won the final leg and the bonus points
