Group A is still close between the top three, thanks to a 3-3 draw between the Magnet A and the Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone.  Karen Keen beat Ward Griffiths by just 10 points, 1140-1130 in the first leg, and Ann Keen extended the Plough lead in the second frame.  Mike Callanan (4250) started the Magnet revival, and then played and won the first two doubles, with Lin Callanan and Griffiths.  Karen Keen & Ann Keen won the final game to force the draw.

Second place Alma won 4-2 at the Butchers Arms, but a good game by Paul Collins (3130) had given the Butchers Arms an early lead.  Rick Cowdrey beat Doug Vickers 1970-1490 to level matters, after staging a fantastic late comeback.  John Mitchell (5200) took the final singles for the Alma, but Phil Court & Harry Pearson closed out the first doubles to again level the match.  A close victory for Shirley Cowdrey & Dave Howarth 3100-2690 restored the Alma lead, and Howarth & Mitchell (4440) took the final frame and the match.

In Group B, the Greyhound drew 3-3 with the Plough & Harrow from Bridge, the first time the Plough have failed to win in the Summer League so far.  Ian Dennett just edged Dave McNeily 1640-1620 to give the visitors the lead, but Daniel Jackson defeated Baz Symes 4530-3150.  Keith Symes then beat Craig Carlson 5570-3230 to restore the Plough lead.  Carlson & Jackson (4340) took the first doubles, followed by a score of 5580 for Dennett & Symes for a 3-2 lead.  Jackson & McNeily played and won the final frame of the evening to grab a share of the spoils.
