The Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone travelled to Ashley and emerged 3.5-2.5 winners against the Butchers Arms, and so move to the top of Group A.  Harry Pearson (1980) put the home side ahead, but the Plough fought back with victories for Karen Keen (4250) and Brian Carpenter (2070).  The doubles started with a win for Ruth Collins & Paul Collins to square the match, followed by a drawn 1520-1520 leg between Pearson & Paul Collins and Ann Keen & Carpenter.  A close final leg was eventually taken 3680-3020 by Karen & Ann Keen to snatch the bonus points.
The
Alma were 4-2 away winners at the Brickmakers A.  John Mitchell (2780), Dave Howarth (4250) and Rick Cowdrey (3310) took all the singles legs for the Alma , but the Brickies staged a comeback in the first two doubles.  Paul Garlinge & Ann Garlinge just edged Paul Callanan & Shirley Cowdrey 1580-1420, followed by victory for Ann Garlinge & Craig Lancaster.  Shirley Cowdrey & John Mitchell won the important last leg to secure match victory for the Alma .


The Plough & Harrow from Bridge have made a storming start to the Summer League in Group B, with 15 from 16 points and 56060 points amassed in their two games so far.  Their latest win was 6-0 away to the Magnet B.  Ian Dennett (5030), Baz Symes (1930) and Keith Symes (5790) led the way, and the doubles continued in similar fashion, Keith & Baz Symes high-scoring with 5020.  The final frame was won 2940-2190 by Baz Symes & Dennett against Chris Gent & Tanya Philpott.

The Greyhound beat the Brickmakers B 5-1 to move into second place.  Craig Carlson (3630) put the Greyhound ahead after a close tussle with Nick Corck, but Paul Dargan levelled matters for the Brickies.  Daniel Jackson regained the Greyhound lead with an impressive 6300.  Jackson & Dave McNeily (4820) took the first doubles, and the match victory was sealed by McNeily & Carlson with 3890.  Carlson & Jackson (4250) wrapped things up in the final leg.
