Results: -
Spring Cup Final: Chantry 3 Alma Lions 3.

Plate Final: Plough & Harrow Tilmanstone 4 Fitzwalter Arms 2.

The Chantry have won the Spring Cup, after a 3-3 draw against the Alma Lions, and outscoring their opponents on aggregate.  Neville Potts gave the
Alma an early lead in beating John Fullager 3720-3340 - Fullager had led until a late winning break from Potts.  Mick Nichol beat Ted Batchelor 5040-1560 to level the tie for the Chantry, before Chris Saville regained the Alma lead with a 3820-1400 victory over Kevin Kay.  Going into the triangles-format doubles, the Chantry had built a healthy points lead, but were trailing 2-1, so needed to win two of the three doubles.  Kay & Fullager beat Batchelor & Wack Sampson 1980-1300, followed by a 2350-1150 success for Nichol & Kay over Saville & Tim Hayes.  The Alma trailed by 2560 points going into the final frame, and although Potts & Sampson beat Fullager & Nichol 1600-1430 to force the 3-3 draw, the points advantage proved decisive for the Chantry.

The Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone have won the Plate competition after a 4-2 win against the Fitzwalter Arms.  Ann Keen gave the Plough an excellent start in beating Roger Oldfield 2440-1760, and Karen Keen made it 2-0 as she defeated
Steve Lake 2450-910.  A 3280-1970 victory for Mark Graves against Brian Carpenter gave the Fitz some hope.  A big 2170-1130 win for Carpenter & Ann Keen against Graves & Lisa Goddard in the first triangles game put the Plough 3-1 and leading handsomely on points.  The Fitz needed comprehensive victories in the final two frames, and Oldfield & Carl Byford started well, overcoming Karen Keen & Carpenter 1710-700.  A repeat of that was required in the last leg, but Ann & Karen Keen played steadily to beat Lake & Byford 1500-620 to claim the Plate
