In Group A, the Chantry remain top after defeating the Brickmakers A 6-0.  Wins for Mick Nichol (6430), John Fullager (4760) and Kevin Kay (4020) wrapped up the singles, and the doubles followed a similar pattern.  Kay & Fullager hi-scored in the final doubles with 3530.

The Royal Oak from Nonnington continued their excellent campaign with a 5-1 win at the Magnet A.  After John Higgens (6150) put the Deal side ahead, the Royal Oak took both singles via Alan Smith (2860) and a last-gasp victory for Gary Clarke as Lin Callanan black-pegged.  Richard Cousens played and won all three doubles, the closest being the last as he and Smith beat Higgens & Ward Griffiths 1950-1590.

In Group B, the Alma Lions won again, defeating the Fitzwalter Arms 4-2 on a tricky Fitz table.  Having lost their opening singles as Mark Graves beat Neville Potts 3620-3190, the Deal side took the next two with win for Wack Sampson (2520) and Chris Saville (3850).  The first doubles saw the Fitz draw level with Roger Oldfield & Carl Byford scoring 1950, but Potts partnered first Sampson then Saville to two victories and the match.

The Magnet B beat the Market Inn B 4-2 to complete back-to-back victories.  The Magnet swept the singles with wins for Chris Gent (2180), Tanya Philpott (1730) and Steve Philpott (3150), and the match victory was assured after the first doubles as Gent & Steve Philpott scored 2480.  The Market Inn squeezed the next doubles for their first point, as Craig Carlson & Derek Latham beat Steve & Tanya Philpott 2100-2080, Carlson potting the last ball down the 200 hole.  Latham & Ted Hogben also won the final doubles to give respectability to the match score for the home side.

Group C saw the Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone earn a 3-3 draw at home to the Plough & Harrow from Bridge.  A close tie was started in just that manner as Keith Symes edged Ron Beer 2680-2660, followed by a win for Ian Dennett (3500).  Ann Keen (3650) sparked a revival for the Tilmanstone Plough, as they also took the first two doubles, Karen Keen playing in both.  The visiting Bridge Plough needed the final leg for the draw, and Baz Symes & Keith Symes just delivered with an 1830-1540 victory over Ron Beer & Ann Keen.

The Market Inn A won the all-Sandwich as they defeated the Greyhound 5-1.  Dave McNeily (2620) collected the Greyhound’s point, in-between wins for Alan Farra (5460) and Gareth Butcher (4600).  Farra & Dave Carliell took the first doubles, and the bonus points were claimed as Butcher & Christine Farra scored 2580 to best their opponents, with the final leg following suit.
