In Group A, the Chantry have established an 8 point gap at the halfway stage after a 5-1 win against the Magnet A.  Kevin Kay (7020) put them ahead, but Mike Callanan (9970) hit back for the visiting Magnet team.  Mick Nichol (6960) took the final singles, before the Chantry took all three doubles, Kay & John Fullager top scoring with 3040.

The battle of the Brickmakers was won by the B team, 4-2 against the Brickmakers A.  Paul Garlinge narrowly beat Paul Dargan 1350-1310 to put the A ahead, but the B took the next three legs with wins for Simon Jones (2810), Nick Corck (3290) and doubles victory for Jones & Corck.  A win for Alan Holmwood & Craig Lancaster in the penultimate frame gave the A hope of a draw, but this was duly thwarted by Jones & Dargan.

The Alma Lions remain top of Group A after a 6-0 win at home to the Butchers Arms.  After winning all their singles, with Wack Sampson (6130), Chris Saville (6880) and Neville Potts (6910) all scoring steadily, the doubles were closer games.  The Deal side still picked up
maximum points though, the closest being the final leg as Sampson & Saville beat Doug Vickers & Ruth Collins 1960-1700.
The Fitzwalter Arms edged a close match 4-2 against the
Market Inn B.   Roger Oldfield (3790) and Steve Lake (1880) put the Fitz 2-0 up, before Mark Graves extended their lead in beating Craig Carlson 3460-3100, Carlson's late 3000 break not quite proving enough.  John Skinner & Ted Hogben beat Oldfield & Lisa Goddard 1740-1310 to start a fight back, and Derek Latham & Skinner also took the next doubles for the Market Inn B.   Lake & Carl Byford beat Carlson & Skinner by just 1520-1510 to gain the match victory, Byford potting the final ball down the 200 hole.

An excellent result for the Plough & Harrow as they beat the Alma B 4-2 in Bridge, moving them back to the top of Group C.  John Mitchell (6540) put the visitors ahead, but Ian Dennett beat Bill Edwards 6440-3300 and then Keith Symes knocked a 7600 break and a score of 13560 to put the Plough 2-1 in front.  After the Plough & Harrow also took the first doubles, a win for Mitchell & Rick Cowdrey (3770) gave the Alma a glimmer of hope, but this was extinguished with a close 2510-2040 victory for Dennett & Baz Symes against Cowdrey & Dave Howarth.
The Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone moved off the bottom with a 5-1 win over the Greyhound.  Brian Carpenter (1980) won for the Plough, followed by a victory for Dave McNeily for the Sandwich side - after Karen Keen had unfortunately black-pegged while 1530 ahead.  After Ann Keen (1950) put the Plough back in the lead, the doubles all fell to the home side, the closest being the last as Carpenter & Ann Keen beat their opponents 1590-1050.
