Business as usual in Ash as the Lion trounced the Alma B 6-0.  Wack Sampson narrowly beat Bill Edwards 2120-1670 in the first leg, but this was the closest the visitors came to a point.  Tim Hayes hit a break of 13240 en route to his win, and Paul Smart scored a total 3950 to wrap up the singles.  It was the turn of Neville Potts to play all three doubles, and he partnered the aforementioned players to wins with scores of 4380, 5010 and 5400.
The Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone shared a 3-3 draw with the Magnet A.  Ann Keen (3600) enjoyed an excellent win over Mike Callanan in the first leg, but John Higgins rallied for the Magnet visitors to take the second leg.  Brian Carpenter failed to reach a thousand but was still able to edge out Ward Griffiths to restore the Plough lead.  Ann Keen & Ron Beer (3540) took the first doubles for a 3-1 lead, but again the Magnet fought back, through wins for John Higgins & Lin Callanan (3940) and Mike & Lin Callanan (3450).

A key match in mid-table took place in Sandwich where visitors The Royal Oak defeated the Market Inn A 4-2.  All the singles went to the Oak as Stuart Richardson, Alan Smith and Gary Clarke all won.  When Richard Cousens & Stuart Richardson just edged the first doubles 2090-1840 against Gareth Butcher & Christine Farra a whitewash looked a possibility.  Things finally started going the Market Inn in the last two legs, though, as the games for Dave Carliell & Alan Farra, and then Farra & Butcher both finished in favour of the home side.

The Chantry travelled to Deal and came away with a 6-0 win at the Brickmakers A.  Singles wins for Mick Nichol, Kevin Kay and John Fullager (5830) started things well for the Canterbury side.  Roger Standen played and won all three doubles to wrap up maximum points and keep the Chantry securely in second place in their group.

The Plough & Harrow from Bridge defeated the visiting
Market Inn B side 5-1 to strengthen their position in Group B.  Keith Symes (8330) took the first leg courtesy of a 6300 break, but Derek Latham scored 8470 in the second frame to level the match.  The final singles saw Baz Symes (3940) restore the Plough lead.  Comfortable wins in the first two doubles gave the Plough an unassailable 4-1 lead, but the final frame was a close one.  Derek Latham hit two maximum 2000 breaks for the Market Inn team, but was let down by playing partner Craig Carlson as he gifted Ian Dennett and Baz Symes the 4610-4410 with an unforced error.
Honours even at the Magnet as their B team drew 3-3 with the Fitzwalter Arms.
Steve Lake just beat Tanya Philpott 1330-1220 in the first leg, and Mark Graves increased the Fitz lead.  Rob Robertson gave the Magnet hope, though, as he took the final singles.  The Fitz could not lose after taking the first doubles narrowly, as Steve Lake & Roger Oldfield beat Tanya Philpott & Rob Robertson 2980-2500.  The Magnet were not to be denied their draw, however, as they took the final two doubles comfortably via wins for Steve & Tanya Philpott (2230) and Robertson & Steve Philpott.

The Brickmakers B have given themselves hope a reaching a top four spot after an impressive 5-1 win at the Butchers Arms.  Simon Jones just beat Phil Court 1280-1190 in the first leg, before more comfortable singles wins for Paul Dargan and Simon Hart.  In the doubles, wins for Jones & Dargan, and then the two Simons gave the Brickies a 5-0, but the Butchers Arms gained a consolation point in the final leg as Doug Vickers & Phil Court were victorious.
