The Lion from Ash continued their domination in Group A as they travelled to Deal for a 5-1 victory against the Magnet A.  Mike Callanan took the first leg for the Magnet, but it was downhill from there for the home side as the Lion took all the remaining frames.  Singles wins for Neville Potts and Paul "100%" Smart gave the Lion the lead, before self-styled doubles specialist Wack Sampson played and won all three latter frames, the first a close match as he and Tim Hayes defeated Mike & Lin Callanan 3770-3140.

The Royal Oak beat the Plough & Harrow from Tilmanstone, in Nonnington.  Stuart Richardson, Alan Smith and Gary Clarke took a clean sweep of the singles for the Oak, and this form was continued into the doubles as Richard Cousens teamed up with first Clarke and then Richardson for a 5-0 lead.  Consolation came for the visiting Plough team as Ken Keen & Ann Keen won the final leg.

Another good result for the Chantry as they beat the Alma B 5-1.  A clean sweep of the singles, through wins for Roger Standen (3590), John Fullager (4760) and Mick Nichol (4280), gave early advantage to the Canterbury team.  A close first doubles also went to the Chantry, as Kevin Kay & Mick Nichol just beat Dave Howarth & Bill Edwards 4150-3860, and this was followed by the Alma picking up a deserved frame as Howarth partnered Anne Cope for a win.  Fullager & Kay took the final leg for the Chantry.

Finally in Group A, the Market Inn A strengthened their claims to a top four spot as they won 5-1 way to the Brickmakers A.  The Market Inn went 2-0 up via wins for Alan Farra (4720) and Gareth Butcher (2910), but Paul Garlinge just edged a point from Dave Carliell as he won 1040-990.  This resistance from the Deal side was ended though, as the Market Inn took all three doubles, including a score of 4680 for Butcher & Christine Farra in their win.

In Group B, the Alma A completed a straightforward 6-0 victory at home to rock bottom Magnet B.  A comfortable win for Chris Saville in the first leg was followed by a last-ball win for Ted Batchelor as he beat Rob Robertson 2600-2570.  John Mitchell wrapped up the singles points for the
Alma team.  All three doubles followed suit, including a score of 6040 for John Mitchell & Mike Delsignore.

The Market Inn B enjoyed a 5-1 win at home to the Butchers Arms from Ashley.  Daniel Jackson's opening frame win for the Sandwich side was
immediately cancelled out as Doug Vickers took the second leg for the Butchers Arms.  Craig Carlson, however, took the third singles to restore the Market Inn lead.  Derek Latham played and won all three doubles, including a close last leg in which he and Craig Carlson beat Doug Vickers & Janet Kershaw 2740-2040.

The Plough & Harrow from Bridge travelled to Goodnestone and enjoyed a good evening as they came away 4-2 winners against the Fitzwalter Arms.  Paddy Maher narrowly defeated Steve Lake 1780-1580 in leg one, but the Fitz immediately pulled level through a win for Roger Oldfield.  Keith Symes restored the Plough lead in the final singles, and this was extended in the first doubles as Ian Dennett & Baz Symes won.  Nigel Scott & Mark Graves had a useful victory in the next frame to suggest the draw could be a possibility, but Keith & Baz Symes took the honours and the bonus points in the final leg for the Bridge team.
