end of May. Sporting team and most improved player votes must also be in by
the end of May. All paperwork is included with this newsletter. Finals Night Table Setup; Dave Carliell and Chris Saville are the
only male volunteers so far, we cannot lift tables. A couple of more
volunteers are needed for about half an hour at one o'clock to do the basic
lugging. Please give Chris a ring and avoid having to set the tables up as
players arrive in the evening. 'B'
Interleague Champions; The League completed its most successful
season ever by completing the double at the 'B' interleague. Derek Latham,
Roger Oldfield and Daniel Jackson were all undefeated as the league romped to
victory, seven points clear of Medway. The triumph was completed by an 8 - 0
rout of medway 'B'.. Gary Clarke won three out of four in the side completed
by John Higgens, Craig Carlson, Dave
Carliell, Paul Callanan and Les Green (guest).
Chris Saville plays in the
National Singles Finals; Chris
represented Kent at Reading. He was drawn in a difficult group that included
Bernie McCluskey, last years 'World' Champion and John Burrows, a past
national champion. Chris won four of his six games along with Burrows, but
lost out on the spot in the grand final on aggregate. John Burrows went on to
win the title from Kevin Tunstall. Dates
For Your Diary; Date of next committee meeting is to be decided. Finals
Night will be at the Alma on Tuesday 29th April. Presentation Night;
Friday 21st June at the Alma. |

Farra and Jackson Kent Pairs Champions; A marvellous weekend for the league was completed by Alan Farra and Dan Jackson winning the Kent Pairs title. Alan opened with 9000 in the two leg final which Les and Ann Green never got near catching.
Alan completed a personal double by
picking up the Kent Over 50's title won last year by Dave Carliell. The
final was an all local affair with Alan playing Alan Smith of the Royal Oak.
Dave Latham nearly completed the hat trick for the league when he narrowly
lost to Mark Foster of Medway in the Alternate Rules final. Ten
years ago Dover and Deal were the weakest league in Kent. We are now the
strongest! this is due to the dedication of all our players as leagues around
us have suffered. WELL DONE ALL!
Burning Question; Steve Philpott travels to the Fitz this
week, will he make it this time?? Kent Classic; Tunbridge Wells are resurrecting this
competition on Sunday 6th July, Entry form is on the web site, last few days
for entries. Support another league trying to keep KBBA competitions going
and enter!! Web
Site;
www.barbilliardsdd.co.uk If you want

wants a barbilliardsdd.co.uk email address give me a ring. Any players who do
